Movie Screening Is Back! 💃
Back to screening movies again!  💃
Â
Before Covid-19 I had the pleasure of screening several movies a month. I have not been to a screening since the rstrictions were set into place. First they started with online screenings and now some theaters and the local drive-inn.
Last night (Oct 12th 2020) we did a indoor/online screening of 'Before The Street Lights Come On.'Â
The residents of a small town grapple with the ruthless killing of a young girl and a teacher.Â
Â
Queen Latifah plays an investigating officer and she appears in the movie quite a bit though nothing about her role stood out.Â
The main character Charlie is played buy Chosen Jacobs. Chosen Jacobs is best known for his role as Mike Hanlon in the box office hit film, "IT Chapter One" and "IT Chapter Two". He has a recurring role on the hit CBS show "Hawaii Five-0," playing Will Grover, the son of Chi McBride's character. He can also be seen as Wendell Deaver on "Castle Rock", which can be seen on Hulu.
The movie is basically about teens in a neighborhood and their weird relationship with one another until two of the girls go missing and I suspect there was an earlier third.Â
Â
It leaves you without a true ending, but being narrated by the main character, it's easy to understand enough to not really need one.
Â
It wasn't exciting, kinda weird and boring for my taste, but it could possibly keep your attention. I give it 3 stars overall. Here's the IMBD link: here

Then we went to the Starlight Drive Inn website We caught a double pre-screening for Amazon.

NOCTURNE: Inside the halls of an elite arts academy, a timid music student begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate.
This movie played second and many left within the first fifteen minutes. It started pretty boring and didn't get interesting until the last half. It was fairly decent, but nothing really to write about. If you're looking for a slow movie with a slightly interesting story this is it.Â

The first movie we saw was Evil Eye.
EVIL EYE: The Gist: Pallavi (Sunita Mani) is 29 and unmarried, and the world has not stopped turning. This is true, in spite of her mother Usha’s (Sarita Choudhury)… concerns? Meddling? Dogged adherence to the Indian cultural norms that Pallavi finds wearisome? Usha and Krishnan (Bernard White) raised Pallavi in America before moving back to Delhi, and now their daughter lives a relatively free-spirited life in New Orleans. But all this doesn’t stop Usha from arranging dates for Pallavi, the 8,000 miles between them be damned.
